Islam Tax for the non-muslam

Islamic tax
The Jizya or djizîat,according to the transcripts, cizye in Turkishis thetax that had to pay men pubescent non-Muslims (dhimmis) age to perform military service.
Duties
From the perspective of Muslim rulers, the jizya was real evidence of acceptance by non-Muslims of the sovereign power and its laws, as well as for the people it was a concrete continuation of taxes paid under previous regimes that were not higher than under Roman rule.
Rights,
The dhimmis the majority in the territories newly conquered were granted the right to restricted freedom of worship, enjoyed some autonomy management were entitled to demand the protection of the sovereign Muslim against external aggression, were exempt from military service and the Muslim obligation to pay the tax Islamic annual called zakat 9.29.
Koran
This tax capitation is rooted in the  Surah Quran
"Fight those who believe point God nor the Last Day, who do not regard as forbidden what God and His Apostle have forbidden, and those of the men of the Scriptures who do not profess the true religion. Make war on them until they pay the tribute of their own hands and they are subject.
"Kharaj



With the gradual conversion of non-Muslims to Islam,the source of income is the jizya down. To compensate, the dhimmis have to pay more property tax, the kharaj which does not exist in the Koran or in the Sunna, but is an invention of fuqaha.
The Indian cases
In 1564,the Mughal emperor Akbar,influenced by syncretic ideas, abolished the jizya originally introduced by the Delhi Sultanate.However, his great-grand-son Aurangzeb,who want a return to the islamization in his country, restored in 1679.She was taken from the Hindu (as well as Jains, Buddhists and Sikhs),a large majority in the empire.
